What is Sowar?
Sowar (the phonetic pronunciation of the word "Pictures" in Arabic) is a journalistic and documentary photography magazine that focuses on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). The objective of the magazine is to present great photographs along with informative commentary. It portrays “pictures that tell a story;” themed shots of people, places, and nature with minimal accompanying descriptive text.
